resolved Mario Party video that's eluded me for years. Web Original
I have done a lot of my own digging to find this one specific video which (despite remembering so much from) I cannot find the video or it’s creator.
The main things that the video had was (given the title) reviews of games that were “knockoffs” of Mario Party (one of these games was Fuzion Frenzy), and an opening sketch where two of the reviewer’s friends were fighting to the death over a Mario Party gone wrong.
I also know that this creator made a sequel video, and also during that time covered Grabbed by the Ghoulies. I’d estimate the video was made around 2013-17.
Also, the creator was not Connor The Waffle or Austin Eruption.
Edited by CanuckMcDuck1resolved 2 series mashed together or 1 Literature
I apologise for how all over the place this is going to be as I remember details.
I think this was a single series, but I could be mashing 2 together. I know for sure it was a series with different books though.
I think the title was something like "the grimorie ofthe dark woods" but that doesnt sound right, at all.
What I can remember plotwise:
A girl (13-16) finds a grimoire, and discovers she's a witch that can control animals, shortly after her mother is hung for being a witch.
She got out of this fate by subconsciously commanding the magic hounds to ignore her.
Theres these woods near her village that like no one is allowed in. Big bad lives there.
Except hes not really bad? He was cursed by his friend, I think. But the woods are sworn to protect him so it attacks outsiders.
I think she tries to avenge him and starts fighting a monster?
He explains that to use magic, all witches must give up something. Emotions, looks, humanity. She chose memories and slowly forgets everything.
Her best friend joins the witch hunt, and she helps, cause now the witch hunt only looks for bad witches.
The hunt collectively skips over one girl and shes like "well that's weird, why do they all blindly trust her" come to find out that girl is a witch and enchanted them
I think theres a part where her and her brother (?) Takr a train, and shit is HAPPENING on this train. When they stop they go to some like hourglass place where time stops. And brother person signs his name on the door and some creep comes out from the shadows and is all like "well, the demons behind this door wants you now" and she says no take me, I'll come back later.
The dude finds her years later and says "the demons demand a soul." And she says "yes, but it will not be me" and uses her powers over creatures to lure the demons to take the man.
Aaaaalllll over the place.
EDIT: Found it! The series is "The Thickery" by J.A. White

Edited by Caswinresolved Elementary level book about gum that makes you invisible Literature
I read a book in 3rd grade about a kid that got a strange kind of gum from a machine, and it was called Gum-X or something like that. It turned out that it could turn him invisible and his older brother used it to prank people without getting caught. And I remember a prank went wrong when he tried to steal an old woman's dentures and she thought that he was robbing her. The art style looked like it was from the 80's to the Late 90's.
resolved Shareware breakout clone Videogame
There's this game I played like twice as a kid, and all I remember is:
- It's a clone of breakout from somewhere in the Windows 3.x-95 era
- One of the blocks used a badly squashed graphic of a mouth with bared teeth and instantly ate your ball
- Probably because of the above block, it gave you a bucketload of balls, to the point of Meaningless Lives
- For some unfathomable reason, it had a transhumanist Author Tract in the about box
anyone else remember this?
resolved Trying to figure sources of Korean media from an ancient meme Live Action TV
Well somehow I had a nostalgia trip back to the later 2000s and noticed this particular Korean meme of Rainbow Tylenol. Problem is, I don't know where the heck they managed to get their memes from. What were the names of those shows were used in the creation of this meme?
resolved Detective Story That Becomes Sci-Fi Horror
A short story that starts out as a detective story, then it's revealed the killer is actually an alien that can flatten and extend its body so locked doors aren't a problem, then while it's gloating the detective reveals himself to be an alien as well (can't remember if they were the same type) and defeats the killer.
Edited by Chabal2resolved Specific Doctor Who episode - Mandela effect Live Action TV
In which episode of Doctor Who did the Doctor tell Amy about the Mandela effect? He didn't call it that, but he talked about how people sometimes have memories that don't match up with reality. I'd like to get that quote.
resolved 80's horror film involving escaped monsters on remote planet Film
A 1980's movie where a ship lands on a remote, always-night planet (think the Derelict planet and LV-426 in the Alien franchise) with hidden monsters of various types infiltrating the ship. Said monsters are escapees from 10,000 year old evils in a can left there by aliens. A key scene in this movie takes place in the opening— an earlier ship that lands, and during a photo-op, one of the two spacesuit-clad passengers SITS on one of the sealed evils in a can, with predictable results (specifically, we see a small section of the canister dissolve, and minutes later, he starts convulsing and spitting out mists of blood.)
resolved Mickey Mouse comic Print Comic
I once had a Disney characters comic of 3 stories, the first ("Let's Get Kraken") and the 3rd featuring Donald Duck, and the 2nd featuring Mickey Mouse. It's the 2nd one and the 3rd (striking cuz I found it from this site, mentions Gemstone publishing.) that I'm having trouble finding the titles of.
- The Mickey one starts with Goofy's interview. When he's told to interpret some ink blots, one design in particular hypnotises him, and the interviewers as well. The aim of those hypnotised seems to be to get more people hypnotised, including the police force (Officer O'hara included) and collect equipment, especially black paint cans. Then they board a spaceship that Mickey follows on, he finds that they'll paint on the moon, and that the mastermind is the Phantom Blot (this is where I first knew of him, btw). He maroons Mickey on the moon, who mops up the design, but almost goes unconscious until an alien helps give him oxygen and finish cleaning faster. Then the alien gives him a space skiff(?) to depart, and helps the spaceship of ex-hypnotised folks to land safely. I know the Phantom Blot is a recurring enemy, but I can't find "moon" or a relevant use of "alien" on Mickey Mouse Comic Universe.
EDIT: Okay, looks like all I needed to do was dig a bit deeper still. This site gives the exact book I had in its US publications list, and the 2nd story is called "Blot Clot".
Edited by BlackFaithStarresolved Girl and Boy on a Train Western Animation
Children's cartoon, possibly of UK origin, circa the late 1990s.
The setting felt Victorian/Turn-of-the-Century and focused of two characters: A little girl with dark hair, pale skin and a red dress and a young boy (who I think was poorer) with red hair, pale skin and a brown waistcoat suit. There may have been an older character who was a relative of the little girl who minded them.
The tone was grounded, don't really recall the story, but they went from place to place, I think. The art style, if I recall correctly, felt sort of like moving storybook illustrations. Sketchy, colourful, looked like colouring pencils and watercolour.
I definitely watched this a few times when I was very young, but all I really remember is the intro: the girl and the boy are on a train, with the carriage windows down. I think they go through an tunnel and the boy's face gets covered in soot.
resolved Looking for possible source of quotes
In almost all videos on Youtube of Yakuza: Like a Dragon's OST "Cold-Blooded" (also known as War Maker), I keep finding quotes like "I MAXED OUT NINE CREDIT CARDS ON PERKS" or "My blood is a controlled substance on 39 states" and some other similar stuff. These lines are not from the game so I'm absolutely certain they're a reference to something, but I don't know what. Any help? Sorry for not having more info.
EDIT: Never mind, I found it. It's from "An Incorrect Summary of ULTRAKILL | Act 2".
Edited by Lermisresolved duo thief old anime Anime
I'm looking for an old anime, probably from around early 2000s or maybe late 90s. The main characters is a duo of a man and a woman, and they're some kind of thief. Each episode follows a different heist where they steal a specific MacGuffin. The reason they're doing this is because they were contacted by their boss or something, and the boss told them to get something important, but the connection cut off before the boss could tell them what it is and they just resorted to stealing everything and checking whether or not the MacGuffin they stole that episode was the right one or not. They always return the items if it's the wrong one.
resolved No Title Literature
One of my friends checked out a book from the library about 2005-2009 ish and I always wanted to read it. It was about a group of girls and they all got matching tattoos on their birthday. One of them chickened out and didn't go and they all turned against her. Then it turned out that the evil tattoo artist was using the tattoos to control them and make them do evil things.
resolved flash animated belgian cartoon about a girl and a firefighter Western Animation
There was this old show I used to watch as a kid about a girl whose cat gets stuck on the roof of a church and she tries to get it back down with the help of a firefighter (I think his name was Bob?). After a series of mishaps they end up in a different country and the rest of the episodes in the series involve them traveling all over the world just trying to find a way back to Waterloo, Belgium. It was an edutainment series, each episode presented you with a problem and you had to choose the correct solution to the problem out of 3 options. The firefighter was fat and had a stubble I think, and the girl had red hair in pigtails.

Edited by Tremmor19resolved A reincarnation novel with a fat crippled Literature
I forgot the name of a novel, if someone can help me please.
The mc transmigrates in a game or novel world. He is in the body of a fat child. Because his father hates him he locked his potential after birth, poison him and even put a gu inside his body so he will die painfully when he turn eighteen. The reason the mc is fat is because of the parasite. Each day the mc had to drink a sort of tea that fed the parasite and made him fat.
Iirc the father did that because a ghost once take possession of his body and the mc body is the child that was make when he was possessed so he doesn't consider him his own and killed his mother, the woman he married when he was possessed.
It's not a a cultivation novel. The power system has mages and knights. If I remember there something called Mage and Mana gates, the original body had the chance to be born with both opened but the father poison him.
At some point the mc explore a place with a treasure and met an assassin sent by his former fiancee, the assassin is a woman who used an artifact to conceal her gender.
resolved Merlin + Potions Western Animation
my little sister has been trying to find this show/movie/short forever, but she doesn't remember a lot:
it's about merlin, she thinks, or a wizard/warlock dude who looks like merlin, and he has a wall of potions. she is pretty sure he had the classic blue robe/hat with stars
it's not shrek 3 or sword and the stone, would've had to have been mid-2000s or earlier
any ideas?

I saw a british mockumentary, a comedy centered on a pretentious photographer and his younger, somewhat goth girlfriend. He's portrayed as a ridiculous loser who assumes his random pictures of trees in black and white are high art, and she's obviously dating her to piss off her parents. I remember two scenes in particular:
