open"Get out of there before Craboon is born." Live Action TV
So there was this TV show where the villains made basically fusions of existing animals to fight the heroes.
I remember a female villain was radioing a male henchman who was planting like an egg or something and it would give birth to a crab baboon fusion and they called it Craboon.
And the female villain was giving orders and said something along the lines of "Get out of there before Craboon is born."
openPollution Pirates Videogame
There was an Edutainment Game I vaguely remember playing at school in the late 90s (97-98?). I think there were like four missions but the only one I remember playing was called Pollution Pirates.
It had like a live-action video of these two guys on a boat one was older and the other was tall and skinny. They were dumping stuff in the water.
I don’t remember the gameplay but I remember at the end when you won they showed the two guys getting locked in a jail cell.
open1999-2002 Childrens book featuring a Magpie and a Young Girl Literature
It is an illustrated children's book that was once read to my class in first grade. I remember there were 2 characters: a magpie and a young girl (i cannot remember the age of the girl, i do not believe it was stated but she seemed to be younger than 10ish.)
It was written in rhyme, or at least the magpie spoke in rhyme. And the part I remember most vividly is where the magpie gives the girl a yellow gown, There is a scene with a rainbow at the end.
EDIT: remember this around the 1999-2002 era.

If you have seen Luis and the Aliens, early into the movie there is a scene onboard the alien mothership where the aliens watch Earth tv broadcast and for a "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" moment there is a scene from some anime*of a short-haired blonde girl takling on a cellphone while lying on her bed on the tv screen, before the aliens switch the channel. Anybody knows what anime is the screen from?
openSome Anime Anime
I have been thinking about an anime. I just remember one episode about a trio of students that were about to have a test, and for some reason, then one of them climbed into a clock tower to fix the abandoned clock there.
openVillain is sucked down a fountain drain Film
I oversaw a movie that my grandparents were watching back in the mid or late 2000s, and this one villain is sent spinning down the drain of a draining fountain. Once he was sucked all the way in, a big bubble glugged up from there
openWhich shows do these quotes come from Live Action TV
Simply put, I would like to know where these quotes came from -
“…and naming our fists?”
“Oh, I’m not fast, but I’m furious!”
“…pigeons are jerks, by the way”

Can anyone identify the music that plays during the IMDB Supercut of Jude Law (https://www.imdb.com/video/vi3910713625/?ref_=nmvi_vi_imdb_17)?
opendesert island, angry indigenous kid, and some kind of creature Western Animation
i was writing stuff and got reminded of this show i watched as a kid!
it was a short-form cartoon about a kid who lived with some kind of creature on a desert island. the kid might've looked like one of 'em Hollywood Natives and had dark skin and curly hair that went spiky whenever they got mad, while i don’t remember anything about the creature other than how the kid got mad at them often. characters were Speaking Simlish. i distinctly remember the kid yelling something that sounded like "hey! chobulay babulay!" at the creature in one episode bc it was a sort of inside joke among my family.
despite the similar theme of fantasy indigenous tribes, it isn't Qumi-Qumi

Year ago in a children's magazine (likely "Highlights" or a similar American publication aimed at grade school children) I saw a neat hidden image illustration of medieval town and castle built onto a hillside. The illustration covered two pages; when those pages were gate-folded inwards the image of a town transformed into a reclining dragon.
This was not a "magic eye" picture or a printed paper fortune teller that was meant to be snipped out and folded up - the pages were meant to remain stapled into the magazine.
Year of publication would likely have been between 2000 and 2007. If anyone recalls a similar feature printed in a kid's magazine or an artist that made illustrations like this, I'd be happy for a lead.
openDiamond Brothers book with a coded message Literature
I was going to see if one of the books in the Diamond Brothers series had an example of a coded message, but I forgot which one.
I remember one scene in which someone was given a letter that seemed innocuous, with "Ma" talking about how things are going. It began "Bad news, I'm afraid." and said something about the recipient's granddad being in hospital, if I recall correctly. However, it turned out that the first letter of every other word created a message when they were put together. Said message was something along the lines of "BIG ED TAKING OVER, COME HOME AT ONCE." I also remember that the titular brothers were in police custody, but I might be conflating it with my memory of another book since they frequently ended up there, at least once for wasting police time.
It's definitely not "I Know What You Did Last Wednesday" since the brothers never got arrested in that book.
Edited by RiolugirlopenNo Title Film
This film was in black & white,circa(maybe)1950s.When I was four, I was watching a movie (it was already on) while Mom was flitting about in the kitchen,at about eight a.m. Every other time, my parents were adamant about monitoring All our TV exposure. But the phone rang, & she was sidelined for a few minutes. That being said...a scene in the movie showed a (solarium/ conservatory?) room, located towards the center of the home. With plants, & low lighting, there was a white bassinet, within, with such a darling baby, fast asleep. I didn't see the parents around, but a Cat started walking stealthily into the room. It crawled upon the bassinet, & then atop the baby, where it proceeded to suction the air from that dear child! Of course, I didn't see the rest of the movie, as I started crying & my Mother spirited me away. Never heard of nor saw the movie, again. But, even though it was so upsetting, it's always bothered me that I never finished the movie. Please find it. They say we all have our demons to face. This is mine. TY!
Edited by Pluckiopenkorean(?) anthology film series? Film
a while ago i watched this series of movies. they were korean i think but it could be a different country. i watched it through a friend streaming them on discord. apparently there were a lot but i only watched a few. i asked that friend about the title and they just said "strange tales i think?" which gives me nothing, do you know how many tales there are bro let alone strange ones. i was wondering if someone knows these films. i remember several of the stories. spoilers i suppose. the stories between the stores were always narrated by this one old man. one of the stories involved a child praying to a shrine that she would get every question on the test right, and it comes true and warps the world around her wrong answers so they are correct, which makes havoc ensue. another story involves a character who gains a condition where they often hear music and have to act along to it, and she finds another person with the same condition. i dont remember exactly how it ended but i do remember they died because of a certain special song. another story involved a man finding a supernatural NES game, which would summon the man's childhood friend who would play the same game with him when he was young. i dont remember a whole lot about this story but i remember something about the childhood friend dying in a river on their way home. another story which i can only remember the concept of was about a world where snobby business men acted like dogs. the last story i can remember and put into words was about a story about half the length of the other ones about a golden egg. i dont remember anything else about it.
if anyone could help me find these films that would be GREATLY appreciated, they were really fun
openIsland Puppet Kids Show Live Action TV
It was a show in the mid 90s to early 2000s that had puppet dogs (I think?) stranded on an island. Only one season or possibly one segment of a larger show/programming block. There were dogs that were native to the island and dogs who were castaways on the island. One was an English explorer stereotype (khaki, pith helmet, etc) whose main characteristics were that he was homesick and generally unfriendly. One episode centered on the explorer dog finding moss that reminded him of home and cultivating it until it covered the island. The other dogs had to get a spider to weave a web to block out the sun in order to kill the moss. The show had commercial intro/outro segments that featured a piece of luggage with travel stickers on it.
openPuppet hero show? Western Animation
I’m sorry for doing this a second time in a row but… I also remember this show where a boy who was a fan of a hero that was now turned into a puppet.(through everyone [but the petty villain] before the events of the show) the boy found the puppet(I forgot when or where) and when he puts it on the puppet(/narcissistic hero) the puppet gains powers. The animation is 2d, no 3D asset(I’m pretty sure). I remember a lot more about the show than my first entry on here, I even remember what the boy, the puppet and the petty villain (which I’ve mentioned before) looks! I just need to remember the name of the show. (More about the petty villain, he wanted the here [who is now a puppet] sidekick but the hero didn’t want that so he turned the hero into a puppet).
Edited by Bugsnaxeater24openmale artist in movie backlot? Music
I'm trying to remember a pop/dance music video - Male singer - Could be a band, but only one artist is featured in the actual video - He's dancing and interacting with movie props and equipments in a movie backlot - E.g. artificial rain, camera cranes etc. - The actual decor seems to be mostly a western movie of some sort - Actors in costume and movie technicians are constantly moving in and out of the picture - This is NOT the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot (i.e. not Why don't you get a job)
openIDK what it is Film
This movie came on late at night. It involved a middle aged (40-45?) married couple, who'd been married for years. Only he worked, & she kept a Flawless home! She had obvious OCD, plus she may have had a problem leaving the house. As she was cleaning, she found evidence of his infidelity (which doesn't surprise me because their sex life was,at best, pitiable). Surprisingly...she eventually murdered him. Also, the dialogue was her narrating it with her thoughts, I think. She just cleaned & straightened, & it was dead quiet, except for the sound of her voice... eerily so! Very obviously controversial, so it may be one of those films they felt was better left to gather dust on the shelf. Only saw it once. Thanks, I hope it's a helpful description.
openEuropean Paranormal Investigation Show Live Action TV
Ok so I think I watched this show on netflix but I cant find it in any records. It was about 3, maybe 4 adults. Either English or Irish I think. That investigated paranormal and absurd claims to find the truth behind them. One episode had them proving that ghost lanterns were just owls, and another had them trying to solve the sighting of a black panther. I think it was 2 dudes and a woman, and they worked out of an RV. The film wasnt amazing so early 2000s I'd guess. There was another episodes about deer in a gilf course and one about foxes being mostaken for demons i think. Also one about boars and ine about chupacabra. And at the end of each episode, theyd make like a powerpoint compilling evidence to show the locals and let them decide whether they thought it was paranormal or not.
I think he was going to do something that was going to cause some kind of problem for his descendants. (I feel like maybe it was a reputational thing, like he made a bad name for himself and all of his eventual descendants; but maybe I'm making that up.) So they go back in time and kidnap him and trap him on a ship (an oceangoing ship, not a spaceship) for his whole life against his will, to stop him from doing the thing. He resents his confinement, especially over something so relatively trivial, but he can't do anything about it. He spends the rest of his life on this ship, with his descendants. At the end of his life, he points out to them that they forgot to give him the opportunity to actually bear any children, so after all their effort to fix their problem, all they've accomplished is retroactively killing themselves. (He deliberately didn't tell them until it was too late, because he resented them that much.)
I don't remember when I read it, but it was probably less than ten years ago. I feel like the story itself was older than that, though; it had the vibe of classic science fiction (i.e. 40s-70s) more than modern science fiction. But, I might be wrong about that.
