Can be No Place for Me There if the "nice things" in question involve a place where others will be happy but the hero feels unworthy to live there.

It was more along the lines of "you would lose your shit if you saw anyone being treated the same way YOU are being treated". But thanks, I had forgotten about that trope.

You could treat it as an inversion of Hypocrite. But why isn't Heroic Self-Deprecation enough by itself?

The latter. I settled for Heroic Self-Deprecation with a Lampshade Hanging for now.
