Perhaps, to add onto your suggestion of both, Caine was hard-coded to be uncomfortable with shipping as per TADC's child-friendly setup (hence the hard limitations of no swearing and no offensive character names), but as an AI, he's Growing Beyond His Programming, and so is simultaneously becoming excited about it all on his own?

Don't know. There's not really anything in it that's inappropriate for kids. I've seen way more intense shows that are still considered fine for kids.

I'm probably not the first person to realise this, but I've just noticed that, when Pomni is exploring the Backrooms/The Stanley Parable esque area, there's a big sign saying C and A. Caine and Abel?

People have definitely noticed some Biblical parallels/motifs in the pilot. I know another one of them is the buffet scene at the end seeming to be a recreation of the "The Last Supper" painting. There was other stuff as well that I don't remember right now, though they're listed on the TADC tropes page.

Whether it's intentional or not is really difficult to say right now. Maybe it has a meaning, or maybe Gooseworx is being a Trolling Creator and it won't lead anywhere. We'll have to see how the story develops.

It definitely feels like it could be a genuine hint, or just an intentional red herring. Like, I could imagine that someone ends up betraying the protagonist, but it's not necessarily the Judas analogue in the scene at the end (I'll have to watch it again to see who's sitting in Judas' seat).

Nice cover of Your New Home. I imagine this April Fool's prank was done as a collaboration (there can't have been enough time for Gooseworx to make a joke video in reaction and the former video has many of the voice actors from the series).

I like how they couldn't get Pomni's actor so they just gave her the most unfitting voice and then spent most of her time choking on weed.

That's Pomni's new voice actor. The old one was killed filming the cannabis scene so had to be replaced.
