Aren't these basically video game indexes?
Also, it looks like it was made from a YKTTW with a group who agreed.
I don't know if it really needs clean up, being an index, but a short description sounds like a good idea to me for each company/etc. As long as it's less like Wikipedia(meaning just data on when they started) and something to make things actually interesting to read.
Right now, a lot of the company pages listed are just lists of games with little context ("Company X was founded year Y and is/isn't still active"). I'll admit that I don't have much background knowledge on how any of these companies were created, but I'd like to at least clean up the game lists and integrate them better with the wiki, much like how the TV network pages (NBC, ABC, CBS, etc.) have lists and lists of links to the shows that they aired. Making some of the company pages allow for indexing might also help in that regard, even the more obscure ones.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!I mean, I thought these are literal Index pages.
I do agree more description is a good idea too. They shouldn't be just a list. Even if every link doesn't have a quick description, we can do a bit more to make it clear, concise, witty. It's mostly the second one that's done.
Descriptions for each individual game would take too much time. It's the company descriptions themselves that need some punching up.
So far, I've only gotten through the numbered and "A" pages, and here are some of my findings:
No Major Issues
- 3D Realms
- Acclaim
- Activision Blizzard and its subsidiaries (Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, and Sierra)
- ADK
- AGD Interactive (did this company have a logo?)
- Amanita Design
- Ankama (the Wakfu video game needs its own page separate from the cartoon)
- Arc System Works
- Arkane Studios
- Atari
- Avalanche Studios
Needs a Better Description
Needs a Logo
- The 3DO Company
- Absolute Entertainment
- Accolade
- Aksys Games
- Argonaut Software
- Artix Entertainment
- Artoon
Multiple Issues
- 4J Studios (I added some blue links, but the page is still lacking a logo and good description)
- 505 Games (good description, but the game list has too much filler)
- Access (not to be confused with Access Games [SWERY65's studio]; bare-bones description; page consists entirely of Japan-only games with no work page links)
- Action Forms (needs a better description and a logo)
- Allumer (needs a better description and fewer red links)
- Ambrosia Software (description, logo)
- Animation Arts (description, logo, only two game series listed; website lists more that probably don't have work pages)
- Asobo Studio (description, logo, less clutter; platforms should ideally only be listed if they were developed by a different company from the on who worked on the main platforms)
- Avanquest Software (description, logo, too much filler)
Cut List Candidates
- Aces Studio (company was a subsidiary of Microsoft Studios that was dissolved due to budget cuts; only game on page is listed as TBA and has no blue link)

I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!(Original post)
Instead of making a new post every time I check out a group of pages (I've decided to do one letter a day, and two on weekends; I'm now done with "B" as of this edit), I'm going to update my findings through this Airtable link, updated nightly:
[link removed]
Tell me whether or not you can see it, and if you think you can help.
EDIT: Never mind. I deleted the Airtable database. Too much to keep track of for now.

The Video Game Companies pages need a lot of work. A lot of them appear to have been created by a single troper back in or around 2013, consisting mainly of a list of the games published by the company, and little information regarding the company itself other than the years of its existence and whether or not the company is still active (and much of that is probably outdated).
Here are some suggestions that I think would improve the quality of said pages:
A good example page (in my opinion) would be the one for Nintendo: nice, clean logo; lots of interesting background information; very little filler; and very few red links. Not all of the pages will eventually end up like that one, but I think it would be a good idea to try to expand some of the existing pages to get close to that standard.
