Artoon was a video game developer based in Yokohama, Japan. It was founded in 1999 by Naoto Ohshima (character designer of Sonic the Hedgehog and his nemesis, Dr. Eggman/Robotnik). It worked closely with Microsoft Studios on projects for the Xbox 360 (such as Blinx and Blue Dragon), as well as with Hudson Soft and Nintendo on projects for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.

In 2004, Artoon became a subsidiary of AQ Interactive, and was eventually absorbed into the company along with Cavia and feelplus. Artoon disappeared in 2010 when AQ Interactive merged with Marvelous Entertainment, although Ohshima formed a new company called Arzest with former Artoon and Sega personnel.
