- Broken Base: Is the game just a rip-off of conventional shooters that doesn't bring anything to the table? Is it fun or is it an Allegedly Free Game? The playerbase is broken in all directions.
- Moral Event Horizon:
- The Dominion were never nice, but they hit it when they opened a portal to Hell.
- The pirates from Sub-Optimal hit it by killing the whole crew of the sub.
- Narm Charm: The game freaking runs on this. Examples include the title, the premise, and most level names. The Crapsack World is actually depicted as being strangely fun, as well as the Mercs' Anti-Hero qualities being played up. It's all very charming. Not many games have you fight cyborg dinosaurs, ancient Egyptian zombie gods, or giant robots that can turn into a ball.
