- Just Here for Godzilla: Many readers read this manga or first heard of it because of Shuichiro and Kohaku's strong resemblance to Jotaro and Kakyoin. Some even refer to it as a JotaKak doujin.
- The Woobie:
- Kohaku, particularly in the later volumes after her powers are taken away and Shuichiro dies.
- Shinichiro for similar reasons. Not only has he lost his only son in a plane crash, but now he's even outlived his grandson to some unknown cause.
