YMMV / When Yanderes Cry

Go To

  • Alternate Character Interpretation:
    • Raphael von Versailles. Was he really an unfaithful womanizer like the rumors claimed or were they lies meant to keep female workers away from him?
    • His wife as well. Was she right to be upset that her husband was flirting with the maids or was she unjustly suspicious and her jealousy was that blinding?
  • It's Short, So It Sucks!: The game takes about half an hour to complete and there's very little Yandere activity in the game.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The opening segment of the game. Nishiki and Mai confessed their feelings for each other and had spent a romantic getaway with each other. Then things took a dark turn when they let their four classmates stay with them. When Nishiki and Mai plan to meet up one night, the girls killed Mai and Nishiki is forced to run away in a dark forest while the girls all chase after him.
  • The Woobie:
    • Poor Nishiki. He had somehow attracted the attention of several Yandere girls who killed his girlfriend and hunt him down to kill him themselves. The first ending is just plain sad, hearing him blame himself for not saving Mai and just wanting death, which he gets.
    • Same for Mai. All she ever did was get close to Nishiki and the four main girls thought that was enough to warrant death.
    • Umi Nishimoto. She took the job to work for a rich man who had a Yandere wife. She did her best to remain undetected by the Master, but she was a witness to the wife's behavior and treatment of the maids. She unintentionally found out that the wife had killed her husband and some of the maids out of jealousy and was killed by her.
