- Adaptation Displacement: The movie's theme song, "What's New Pussycat?" is an extreme case of Breakaway Pop Hit, to the point many people may not be aware it was written FOR the movie.
- Awesome Music: "What's new, Pussycat? Whoa, whoa-whoooooooa..."
- Director Displacement: Woody Allen wrote the script and stars in the film, but he didn't direct it.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- Dr. Fassbender's line about Rita being a personal friend of James Bond (ostensibly an actor allusion to Rita's actress being Ursula Andress, Honey Rider herself) becomes this when most of the people involved with the movie would also be involved in the spoof Casino Royale (1967).
- The reference to James Bond also becomes this when considering that Sabine Sun (the actress who plays the nurse who, in a Running Gag, keeps making eyes at Michael whenever doctors attend his suicidal girlfriend) would end up marrying Terence Young, the director of Dr. No.
