Stewart Terence Young (20 June 1915 – 7 September 1994) was a British film director and screenwriter.
He is best known for directing three out of the first four James Bond films: Dr. No, From Russia with Love, and Thunderball. It was him who decided to cast Sean Connery as Bond, and his advices shaped Connery into the role that would become iconic.
