YMMV / Whacked!

  • Best Known for the Fanservice: Most people remember and play this game for Lucy.
  • Diagnosed by the Audience: Some people believe that Lucy may have William's Syndrome. This is due to having many similar facial features, such as blue, lacy eyes, wide mouth and slightly upturned nose. She is also shown to be very overly friendly and social, and even stays calm when she's angry.
  • Esoteric Happy Ending: The game concludes with your character getting their heart's desire, while presumably trapped inside of a white void (possibly forever), with no indication that they'll ever try to leave. Eugene lampshades this, when "everything he wanted" amounts to cardboard cutouts.
  • Goddamned Bats: The chickens in the Chicken game are designed to be this.
  • Good Bad Bugs:
    • Thanks to a glitch, it's possible to do a super jump by holding the jump button during the pause in gameplay when someone presses the Big Red Button.
    • It's apparently possible for Lucy's censor boxes to stop working during an in-game match... which shows that she's actually averting Barbie Doll Anatomy.
  • Heartwarming Moments: Lance, the utter Narcissist of the group who usually only thinks of himself, actually praises Eugene's brief and successful attempt at flight as "awesome".
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The "Death" Big Red Button event. A giant skeletal hand chases players around the stage, and touching it results in a One-Hit Kill. It laughs in a deep voice when it kills someone, creepy organ music plays throughout the event, and the stage lighting dims so you can't see more than 5 feet in front of you, purely so it can jump scare you.
    • The Big Red Button event starring Zombie Stars and their music.
    • Before the final event, your fellow opponents are killed to ensure you're the last one standing. It cuts to show three of them being graphically set aflame; the only aversion is when Otto wins since Lucy shows up in the vault, which just means that two of the seven contestants survive instead of just one (Otto's chair shows up in Lucy's ending)
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: A comedic 3D beat-em-up game show seems like it would barely function as a children's show, except the contestants are some combination of violent, insane, bigoted, and/or intentionally inappropriate, and the show's host is actually a high-ranking devil who murders the losers and audience on live television, before dragging the lone survivor down to Hell. Also, the woman in blue on the cover who looks like the protagonist? That latex dress she's wearing only lasts for five seconds before it permanently rips off and she spends the entire game butt-naked.
  • The Woobie: Otto's chair, which puts up with carting his slovenly ass around. Fortunately, in its ending, it gets the chance to rid itself of Otto, forever, and hook up with Lucy.
