• Awesome Music: Pretty much all of the music is diverse and atmospheric, perfectly suited for its situation. High points include the Lord of the Rings-esque "Life Yet In These Metal Bones" (for the first segment after you get the LEAF suit) and the hard-driving "Thundering Charge" (for the rail sequence in Soma Reactor).
• Best Level Ever: The first half of Soma Reactor gives you an upgrade that significantly boosts your speed while on electrified rails, an extensive tram system to justify those rails, and lets you loose. It's technically nothing more than running down a hallway, but between the ludicrous speed and the intense music, it's one of the most exhilarating sequences in the game.
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The fight against the Alpha Wendigo is out-of-place both in gameplay and in the setting; it's much more involved than any of the other, more basic fighting sequences of the game, and you transition from a government facility to a dark cave to fight it, only to return to the facility, making it feel like an unnecessary diversion.
