• Diagnosed by the Audience: Uriel is somewhat... off for an angel, and appears to have some kind of autism spectrum disorder. It probably helps that the author is a psychiatrist.

• Viewers Are Geniuses: Oh boy. Copious amounts of clever wordplay and obscure literary and mythological references combine to produce a very dense (if hilarious) story.

• The Woobie: Pirindiel, as with all other fallen angels. They are fundamentally incapable of grasping that humans are capable of sin or indeed anything that isn't strictly 100% virtuous, and as a result they wander through life on Earth perpetually confused and alienated from everyone around them.
