  • Heartwarming Moments: Luffy's reaction when he see Jones's One Piece pendant? He decides to take her into his crew: she chose to bear his flag, so she's his to help and protect, and he won't let anything or anyone stop him of doing it. Not even Jones herself.
    • The entire crossover chapter with This Bites!.
    • Ghin singing to calm Laboon.
    • After being treated as a real little girl by Jones, Lisa decides to stick with the Strawhats and grows to like them.
    • Luffy does not agree with Jones pulling the More Expendable Than You card and lets her know it, after using a Fist of Love on her.
Luffy: You're not allowed to die - captain's orders. And stop saying you're not important. I don't care what your story says, whether you're supposed to be here... You are here, you are one of us. You are important - to us. Next time, find a way to save the princess and stay alive while doing it.
    • After ten years apart, Sabo reunites with his brothers- Luffy in Loguetown, then Ace in Nanohana.
    • For those who understand it (or pull up a online translater), Chopper and Kureha's farewell.
    • After the Straw Hats stop Crocodile and Baroque Works, Robin confronts Luffy. She never got to see the Poneglyph, and as everything falls down around her she hits a Heroic BSoD and tries to kill him. But Luffy has figured out by Jones' behavior that she's going to be on his crew, so in response he carefully disarms her, gives her a Cooldown Hug, and claims her as one of his own.
Robin: You said I was yours...you're wrong. I belong to no one.
Luffy: You're wrong, but that's okay. Everyone's wrong sometimes. You're mine and I love you, just like I love Chopper or Nami or Johnny or Yosaku or Sanji or Jones or Ghin or Zoro or Ruatha or Usopp or Merry. Someday you'll get it. But until then...at least come meet everyone with me. (gently guides a stunned Robin towards the palace)
    • Drifter and Geier's relationship with each other. In any section where their conversations are translated, their True Companionship shines amazingly bright.
      • In Chapter 26, they're bickering while flying. Geier does a barrel roll to tease Drifter, who then casually lets go. Geier merely rolls her eyes and flies down to catch him 'in a well-practiced maneuver'.
Geier: One of these days I'm going to just let you fall when you do that.
Drifter: You won't. You love me too much.
Geier: The gods only know why...
    • The subtle hints of Merry's sentience, like how the ship constantly raises the anchor to be quicker at Drum Island and get Jones the help she needs, or a cord falling on a crewmenber's shoulders in a semblance of a hug.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: In Chapter 32, Aisa mistakes Jones, Usopp, and Ruatha for Aztec gods. Jones, in particular, is mistaken for Nanahuatzin. Jones, of course, isn’t secretly a sun god. But as revealed in the Wano arc, Luffy is.
  • Moment of Awesome: The battle against Crocodile.
    • The Straw Hats getting together with Sabo, Ace, Marco, Haruta, and Namur to take down Blackbeard on Jaya in a mess of a battle.
  • Tearjerker: Jones's backstory. It was so bad she was Driven to Suicide, setting her depart for One Piece.
    • When Jones almost gets killed by a T-Rex, Luffy is brutally reminded the world is not a nice place, and even if he did get stronger after Sabo's supposed death, it's still not enough to protect his crew.
    • Jones' complete and utter bafflement when the crew is livid with Ace when his hotheadedness and misunderstanding of the situation leads to him attacking and burning her. It takes her several minutes to even understand why they're angry.
    • Upon being told by Bentham that most people don't usually hurt those they care for, Sanji muses he doesn't actually have any experience with people who don't hurt those they care about - or those they don't care about, but are supposed to.
    • Nami's utter horror when the Strawhats have to pay the toll for Heaven's Gate and don't have enough money even after scraping every beli - this is exactly how she lost her adoptive mother.
    • When Ghin and Toma meet Merry's klabautermann, she tearfully confesses she's nearing her breaking point and isn't sure she can bear her crew to Grand Line's end. So she figured the best she can do is asking the Strawhats to bring a piece of her on their new ship, so to let her coming with them.
