YMMV / Tsuki Desu

Go To

  • Alas, Poor Scrappy: Episode 5 is this for Sakura, who spent most of her time before that episode as an extremely grating Valley Girl.
  • Alternate Character Interpretation: In the Grand Finale, did Najika reunite with Yukari and Chitose in death? or she used the power of the Tsuki Desu to return back to her time, thus preventing the Bad Future where they waste their whole lives waiting for her?
  • Cargo Ship: Daisuke has an...umm...affection for his globes, to the point where he used to sleep with one (and for all we know, probably still does).
    • If the flashback in episode 11 doesn't convince you, then his scene in the Christmas special sure will. Travis Tylor's decision to make him sound like a total nut-case probably didn't help.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Chitose Miyamoto gets this for being a genuine Nice Guy, a Large Ham, and his voice quality really only being held back by the deliberately-cheesy script and poor mic quality.
  • Even Better Sequel and/or Surprisingly Improved Sequel: To Quest Of Laizen among Shikinagi Animation's endeavors.
  • Fan Nickname: Cheetos for Chitose and Prince Sama for Yukari. Globefucker has caught on for Daisuke in some circles.
  • Fountain of Memes: The early episodes are especially prone to this. However, they aren't exactly the widest-spread of memes, sadly.
  • Ho Yay: Tons of it, the most obvious ones being Yukari/Cheetos and Kureno/Daisuke.
  • Never Live It Down: Daisuke's globe fetish, which comes up all of twice if one counts the Christmas special.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Najika's freak out in episode 7 is more than a little bit...unsettling, for someone who is usually a very cute girl. As well as when she faces her "dark self."
  • No Yay: Kureno is all but outright said to have molested Yukari in the special. Thankfully it's All Just a Dream...
  • One-Scene Wonder: Those Jessie and James expies in episode 5.
  • One True Threesome: Najika, Chitose, and Yukari, obviously.
  • Tear Jerker: Episode 12, the Grand Finale. Not only Najika never finds a way to return to her own time, she finds out that Yukari and Chitose refused to accept her disappearance, forever waiting for her until eventually dying of old age. They do reunite with Najika in death though.
    • For fans of Quest, the rather sudden death of Masked Romance, who bears a massive resemblance to Abel.
