• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Owen off-handedly mentions that Alejandro and Tyler had bonded and formed an alliance during their time out of the challenge in the previous episode, completely ignoring Tyler's jealousy of Alejandro flirting with Lindsay from the first episode. However, the plot of Alejandro forming an alliance with Tyler didn't have to get rid of the latter. Tyler could have actually strategized for a change, realizing that the trio of Izzy-Owen-Noah form a majority of the team and therefore he has to stick with Alejandro. The same could've been done upon Duncan's return, as Duncan should have naturally allied with Owen (and as an extension, with Noah) due to their friendship from the two times they made it to the final four together, as opposed to voting for Noah (implied to have been convinced by the new player Alejandro for whatever reason). This means that Tyler could've once again felt forced to ally with Alejandro as opposed to him gaining his complete loyalty for no apparent reason.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: We are supposed to feel sorry for Courtney when she discovers Duncan and Gwen have been cheating, but given how much of a horrible girlfriend she was to him in Island, Action and World Tour, and how brutal she is willing to be with her vendetta against Gwen, it can be very hard to feel sorry for her.
