  • Crack Ship: Lammy and Yusei
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • Despite not playing major roles in any season (both were voted out before the merge both times they played), Rarity and Connie are consistently voted back to play in another season, and are among the few characters to compete in all three main seasons as a result.
    • Despite being an early pre-merge elimination with little plot relevance in 2, Po's goofy nature and kung-fu abilities endeared him to the fanbase enough for him to get voted into 3, being one of only three from that season (the other two being Sonic and Ruby, who had a romantic plot) to get in.
    • Despite just being interns (and not even appearing for the first time until the second half of season 2), the Animaniacs are very popular characters for their zany behavior, to the point where they returned for 3.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Two moments involving Julie from the first season — her singing the Break Up Song "So Yesterday" during the singing challenge, and her apologizing to Ben after making out with a cardboard cutout of Chris during the dare challenge — became this when it was revealed that she ended up breaking up with Ben between seasons.
  • Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Julie is widely agreed to be better handled in Everything than she was in her home series. This is a result of her being allowed to develop as her own character instead of being relegated to Ben's Satellite Love Interest, getting more focus placed on her kindness, and developing a friendship with Deadpool and romance with Leo.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
    • Because of the way the series works, some popular or interesting characters are sent home early or before they can make a big impact.
    • Due to the "one character per series" rule, characters from good luck messages or audition tapes can get this as well. For example, Dipper and Mabel are reduced to only appearing in Stan's audition tape and one side chapter in 2.
    • You’d think Stan would be a great contestant due to the skills he’s picked up in canon, not to mention his charm. But he’s mainly used for a Running Gag before being one of the first to go.
