  • Crosses the Line Twice:
  • Esoteric Happy Ending: In "Spider-Man: No Way Home but 23% Smarter", it’s treated as a happy ending with Dr Strange convincing the MIT Dean to admit Peter and his friends, glossing over that he has still been harassed by Mysterio believers and without any privacy and he and his loved ones are still targets of potential supervillains thanks to his identity remaining public.
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • "Is The Last Jedi Bad? (Fanboy Court)" has the Fanboy bring up some legitimate points in support of a few of the more controversial decisions, such as Rey's parents being "nobody." The Rise of Skywalker proceeded to either retcon or discard many of those plot threads. As a result, while the majority of the viewers take the judge's side, commenters who do take a side after Episode IX's release are more likely to side with the Hater.
    • "Santa Takes On Christmas 2020" was about how technology and computers could save the pandemic-impacted 2020 Christmas season. In 2021, there was a massive computer chip shortage, due in part to the impact of the pandemic on both supply and consumer demand.
  • He Really Can Act: The "Mickey FIRES Bob Chapek!" video drew a lot of praise from commenters for its surprisingly intense direction, great acting and uncanny impression of Mickey Mouse.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • In "Is The Last Jedi Bad? (Fanboy Court)", the Fanboy argues that Rey's parents being "nobody" makes sense, since it makes her a good foil to Kylo Ren, the son of two great heroes, and asks "Why does everyone have to be related?". It's not an unreasonable assertion to make, but one could only imagine how he'd bend over backwards to justify The Reveal that Rey is a Palpatine in The Rise of Skywalker if the judge hadn't stripped the Fanboy of the right to watch Star Wars movies.
    • At the end of "Is The Last Jedi Bad? (Fanboy Court)", the Fanboy is so desperate for another series to fanboy over that he's willing to ignore how quickly the cast zips around Westeros in Season 7 of Game of Thrones. The final season had much more severe problems than even the previous three, so it would have been hilarious to watch him try to defend that season.
    • "If the Star Wars Cantina Song Had Lyrics", released in conjunction with The Last Jedi, is a protest song about droid rights. Less than half a year later, Solo: A Star Wars Story would use droid rights as one of its main themes.
  • Strawman Has a Point: In Is “The Last Jedi” Bad? (Fanboy Court), the Hater is an obvious Straw Fan who hates The Last Jedi for not conforming to his headcanon, but when criticizing the Holdo Maneuver, he makes a reasonable point that even sci-fi and fantasy series should follow their own internal logic. It's unclear whether he's meant to be right, but even the Fanboy can't convincingly argue with that point.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • In WHY REBOOTS SUCK, the two nerds come to a surprising tragic realization that people like reboots because the nostalgia got people away from the terrible reality of their lives even for a slight moment in the hopes of actually being happy. Even the channel's creators mention how sad the video is!
Michael Davis: Oh, uh, hey, that got sad.
    • In The X-Men Try Joining the MCU, the X-Men begin crying after being told by Dick Richards that they essentially mean nothing to the MCU and Disney. This can come as this to fans of the X-Men film series that was ended after Dark Phoenix. It's so sad that even Dick Richards feels sorry for them and says he will try to make something work for them.
    • In Batgirl Reacts to Getting Cancelled!, Dick breaks down to Batgirl how characters don't matter to companies that own them and produce their media beyond their profitability, no matter how much they mean to their fans who have followed their adventures for years.
      Batgirl: But my movie...
Dick Richards: Is a $90 million tax write-off. All the love and effort you put into it will amount to little more than a line item on a tax return.
