YMMV / The Ultimate Ed Chronicles

Go To

  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The "Viewer Mail" segment during The Full Circle.
  • Broken Base: Logically, there's inevitably going to be some conflict over whether or not the Eds make good protagonists or whether having so many characters is a good thing.
  • Creator's Pet: Ed, Edd and Eddy, Sora, Donald and Goofy and the Ninja Turtles. No member has died yet and it's unlikely anyone will be axed anytime soon. Unless the creator pulls a Not His Sled.
    • Double D has it worst, as he's always right, somehow manages to become close friends with Tony Stark and the Expendables, is instrumental in solving most of the problems and essentially has become the team leader. Doesn't help that he delivers the oh-so-subtle message at the end of each film.
  • Crossover Ship: Eddy flirts with Letty in the Fast and the Furious movie, and Sora and Gisele get some Ship Tease in the Thumbelina one. Yes, really.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Ed proclaiming that Goofy would want to go to the Disney Concert Hall because he's owned by Disney becomes this when you realize that Marvel is also owned by Disney. Guess which crossover movie this line comes from?
    • In one of the earliest crossovers with Return To Never Land (a crossover that has long since been lost but is getting remade according to the official Ed-Chronicles website), it's implied that the Decepticons have allied themselves with the Nazis. Fast forward a few years and Transformers: The Last Knight actually has Nazis in it.
    • The Frozen (2013) crossover has Sora join Elsa in her exile. Like many of the other movies, this has been planned since at least 2015. In 2018, a Frozen world was unveiled for Kingdom Hearts III.
  • Like You Would Really Do It: Do you really think the Eds were going to get killed off by Devastator in their second movie?
  • One-Scene Wonder: Bernie Mac's posthumous cameo as the car dealer in The Rise of Maleficent.
  • Surprisingly Improved Sequel: Although by no means a masterpiece or on the same good quality as the long lost TonyWDA videos, the Penguins of Madagascar crossover is one of the more tolerable ones, due to having an actual plot, explaining where exactly the Expendables came from in this universe and having the occasional funny moment. That being said, it's still got a Sissy Villain and the Anvilicious teamwork message at the end.
    • The Full Circle is shaping up to be this, considering how well B-Master and moviemanMDG are managing to fuse The Lion King and its P.O.V. Sequel together and a genuinely interesting original plot thread. Of course, we still get things like Lann and Reynn being Timon's honorary siblings.
  • Squick / No Yay: In the latest part (as of the time of this writing) of the crossover with Fast and the Furious, Raphael propositions a threesome for Double D with two women. Already gross enough but then you realize Double D is technically underage. Um...no thanks.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: This crossover series has Ed, Edd and Eddy going into adventures taking place aimed at everyone, although the series will likely bring up crossovers of movies aiming for older fans like The Fast and the Furious Franchise.
