• Memetic Mutation: Became slightly infamous on Tumblr, which has a subset of people furry fandom adjacent who want to sleep with cryptids, because of the premise naturally following a woman having had sex with bigfoot. Naturally jokes about big feet also followed.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: The sequel, Bigfoot Family, likely would have gone unnoticed by anyone without young children had the film not been targeted by the Alberta government's "energy war room" for "brainwashing kids with anti-oil and gas propoganda". That's right, a government agency tried to shut down a kids film for having a Green Aesop.
