Onryō is a First-Person Survival Horror Video Game by Chilla's Art.

You received a letter from an unknown source. In it was a map to a house, and a letter stating that the sender wants you to get rid of the hostile spirits contained within. You want to pass at first. You know the house, it was on the news seven years ago. However, the sender is certain that the house is behind the string of child abuse and kidnappings in the area.

Ultimately, you decide you need to do this. No need for any more of this stuff happening because you didn't do anything.

The game was released on April 24th, 2020.

Onryō contains examples of:

  • Always Night: The game is set at night.
  • Apocalyptic Log: The house contains a number of notes detailing what went on inside.
  • Haunted House: The setting of the game.
  • Infinite Flashlight: Your character's flashlight never seems to need any new batteries.
  • Lock and Key Puzzle: There are a number of doors in the game that you need to find the key for before you can unlock them.
  • Magical Camera: The Player Character wields one that's capable of harming hostile spirits.
  • Notice This: Anything you can interact with has a white marker above it, and items you can pick up spin in place.
  • One-Word Title: Onryō, naturally.
  • P.O.V. Cam: The game is viewed from the protagonist's perspective. This trope becomes a literal example when you pull the camera out.
  • Ring Menu: The inventory is set up in this manner.
