- Awesome Music: The opening theme by John Barry.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The Persuaders! was very popular in France (where it is titled "Amicalement Votre" - Friendly Yours). The German dub (Die Zwei - The Two) turned it from a genuine crime show into a Hurricane of Puns and therefore made it a Cult Classic.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- Michael Caine is mentioned in "Greensleeves". Not only were he and Roger Moore close friends, but they would later co-star in the comedy Bullseye.
- In "Chain of Events", the villain fools the government with a briefcase full of James Bond books. Right after the series ended, Moore was cast as 007.
- Brett Sinclair drives an Aston Martin. Moore became the only Bond to not drive an Aston Martin in his films (unless you count The Cannonball Run).
- Sherlock Holmes is mentioned a couple of times. Moore would play him in Sherlock Holmes in New York.
- "Someone Waiting" has Moore quip "Play it again, Sam" years before he did so in Moonraker.
- Retroactive Recognition:
- Moorehead from "Greensleeves" is played by Arthur Brough, who would later be best known for playing Mr. Grainger in Are You Being Served?.
- A taxi driver from "Read and Destory" is played by Larry Martyn, who would later be best known for playing Mr. Mash in Are You Being Served?.
- An air hostess in "Overture" is played by Nina Baden-Semper, who would later be best known for playing Barbie Reynolds in Love Thy Neighbour.
- The poacher from "A Home of One's Own" is played by Talfryn Thomas, who would later be best known for playing Private Cheeseman in Dad's Army.
- Unintentional Period Piece: The clothes, hairstyles, cars and Cold War scenarios place the show into The '70s.
- Values Dissonance: The show being a product of The '70s, its treatment of women hasn't held up well, even more so in light of the 2017 MeToo movement.
