• Fan Nickname: Steed's house is often to referred to by fans as "Steed's Stud", because it has plenty of grounds to exercise his horses.
• Retroactive Recognition:
  • "Obsession" has Martin Shaw and Lewis Collins as a pair of terrorists. They worked so well together that they were given their own action series. This line in particular is Hilarious in Hindsight:
    Collins: Maybe we should work together again sometime? A good team.
  • Roach from "The Tale of the Big Why" is played by Gary Waldhorn, who would later be best known for playing David Horton in The Vicar of Dibley.
  • Hudson from "Cat Amongst the Pigeons" is played by Joe Black, who would later be best known for playing Garstang in Come Back Mrs. Noah.
  • An uncredited soldier from "Dirtier by the Dozen" is played by John Challis, who would later be best known for playing Boycie in Only Fools and Horses and The Green Green Grass.
  • Cindy from "Angels of Death" is played by Moira Foot, who would later be best known for playing Denise Laroque in 'Allo 'Allo!.
• Sequelitis: The series was generally regarded as an inferior follow-up to the sixties original, containing none of the charm or sense of fun.
• Stock Footage Failure: "K is for Kill: The Tiger Awakens" opens with a scene set in Tibet featuring stock footage of Buddhist monks and the Boudhanath Stupa - which is in Kathmandu, Nepal.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The grittier tone — matching shows like The Sweeney and (later) The Professionals (which was made by the same company and continued the producers' trend toward more action-oriented material) — was felt like too much of a departure from the camp of the 1960s series.
• Tough Act to Follow: The series was nowhere near as successful and is nowhere near as well remembered as the original series. Case in point, it stopped dead after the second season.
