  • "Mr. Teddy Bear" is about an assassin who carries out deals through a talking teddy bear. The scenes where Cathy Gale interacts with it are surprisingly creepy, even the unflappable Mrs. Gale looks disturbed by this.
  • "Man-Eater of Surrey Green" has a chilling scene where Steed, Emma and Dr. Sheldon hear the screams of the villagers being consumed by the plant.
  • "The House that Jack Built": Emma Peel is trapped in a computerized / automated house Professor Keller specially designed to drive her insane or drive her to commit suicide by gas chamber with absolutely no way to escape. The computer designed to answer her questions has a Creepy Monotone voice also. And she's trapped in a room with the mummy of the Dead All Along Keller on display (the entire house is his scary Thanatos Gambit).
  • "How to Succeed...at Murder" gives us a man avenging his wife by enticing a group of female secretaries to murder their bosses under the influence of a truly creepy ventriloquist's dummy that has his late wife's persona and voice.
  • The deaths of Sir Gerald Bancroft and Captain Gifford in "Mission... Highly Improbable": miniaturized by the villains and then, respectively, thrown into the rubbish bin and washed down the drain. In all likelihood Sir Gerald suffocated and Gifford drowned, and nobody ever found their remains.
  • Tara King's situation in the climax of "The Curious Case of the Countless Clues": Steed phones her to warn her that two men are coming to kill her and that he's on his way, except that Tara's in a wheelchair due to a busted up ankle, and realizes that her back door is unlocked. Desperate, she climes up her stairs to lock the door, and just in time too.
