• Crosses the Line Twice: The running gag where the Child, repeatedly, breaks into the incubator of the client to swallow her eggs whole. It's dark, but he does it so often when her entire lineage is on the line that it's hilarious.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Carson Teva, played by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, helps kill a giant spider. On the fifth episode of the next season of Kim's Convenience, Mr. Kim, also played by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, struggles to overcome his fear of his niece's pet normal-sized spider.
• Narm Charm: Any goofiness regarding Dr. Mandible is offset by how amazing the puppet is, plus serving as a fun nod to Peyton Reed's prior work.
