- Moral Event Horizon: Luna taking her older sister's newborn baby to be sacrificed so she can be accepted by Rakuda, justifying that her sister can "make a new one".
- Squick: While there are several very gross scenes, one of the most stomach-churning is when a female vampire cuts out a victim's heart, then pushes it into her vagina and leaves it there, visibly getting off from the sensation. Even the dark-skinned vampire seems put off by this.
