• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • In "Phaona’s Nasty Trick", Akela gives Phaona the chance to inform Mowgli of the pack’s council meeting that will be held tonight. Was Akela suffering from Aesop Amnesia considering the fact Phaona regularly tries to sabotage Mowgli due to his hatred for the boy, or was he giving Phaona a second chance to prove himself?
  • During the climax of "The Waterfall", Mowgli is stuck on a raging river that is leading to a great waterfall. As he is trying to reach to Baloo to get to safety, Mowgli notices Tabaqui going down the river and tries to help him, even though Baloo just tells Mowgli to get to safety. Did Baloo not care about Tabaqui being in danger due to his disdain for him, or did he believe Mowgli trying to help the jackal would just endanger both of them?
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In "Kite Flight", Baloo and Bagheera are forced to climb up a cliff to reach Mowgli, who is held at Chil the Kite’s nest. While climbing, Baloo grows uneasy being at such a high height while Bagheera urges him to keep going. This scene is strikingly similar to a scene in the 2016 movie, where Bagheera urges a struggling Baloo to keep going up a cliff that leads to the monkey temple where Mowgli is being held.
• Jerkass Woobie: Tabaqui. Yes, he tries to trick, trap, manipulate and lie to Mowgli several times but he suffers more physical and verbal abuse than any other character in the series, often leaving him a shivering and terrified wreck. His Adorkable antics when he actually isn't up to something bad only makes him all the more cute and pitiful.
• Moe:
  • Tabaqui most certainly qualifies despite being a Manipulative Bastard and a notorious Smug Snake. He's especially cute when frightened or terrified and is known to whimper softly when sad and make Puppy-Dog Eyes. Plus, he can be pretty Adorkable at times.
  • Chota, the little tiger cub.
• Obscure Popularity: Even though few people know or care about this show, it is very popular on YouTube as full episodes are uploaded daily. Some of them receive MILLIONS of views.
• Ugly Cute: A few characters, most notably Rana the warthog.
• The Woobie: Rana the warthog. Despite his Hair-Trigger Temper, the only two episodes he's had a major role in involve him being bullied and picked on by the Banda Log. His Ugly Cute appearance only amplifies his status as one.
