YMMV / The Joker War

• Catharsis Factor: Harley strapping bombs to her and Joker and running away, forcing to choose Batman between either saving her or saving Joker. Already, that's a pretty cathartic moment of Character Development for Harley, but Joker is so sure Batman will save him like so many times in the past. Bruce looks at him... and then runs after Harley, finally deciding to let the clown die after all the evil he's done. Joker can do nothing but completely lose his shit and scream at Batman to come back, with Alfred's Jokerized corpse laughing at him, all before the bomb blows up. Of course, Joker survived, but that moment was what fans have been waiting decades for.
• Crosses the Line Twice: The Joker digging up and zombifying Alfred's body to haunt Batman? Disgusting. The zombified Alfred, at one point, complaining that he could have been Aquaman's butler? Hilarious.
• It's the Same, Now It Sucks!: Hey, look, Joker is going all out ...Again. And as the new Joker title shows, this time we’re not getting a break from him afterward.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The much-maligned Ric Grayson-saga, a two-year storyline where after getting shot in the head Dick Grayson lost all of his memories and gave up the Nightwing mantle, came to a close here. While many were happy to see that hated storyline finally come to a conclusion there were those in equal parts frustrated that it ultimately culminated to being a side plot in a Joker storyline. Even the issue that championed Dick's return to being Nightwing barely gave him any lines, with the entirety of the Batfamily being overshadowed in the storyline in favor of Harley Quinn.
