- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- Peter feels that the Muppet bits of Lady Gaga and the Muppets Holiday Spectacular were "closer to the classic era [i.e. The Muppet Show] than any other recent effort [he'd] seen," noting that this might be because the then-recent series The Muppets (2015) (which he wasn't too fond of) was "making everything else look better in comparison", and specifically citing the scene of Big Mean Carl eating a bunny (he states that he misses this gag from the Henson era). When it returned from its winter hiatus (which was, incidentally, a few weeks after the Gaga article was published), the episode "A Tail of Two Piggies" had Big Mean Carl try to eat Scooter, after Kermit tells the other Muppets to put away the newspaper that Scooter was holding.
- Peter begins his review of Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa by predicting that its rise from obscurity to infamy would probably result in everyone riffing on it, so he had to get his take out ahead of them. He ended up posting his review on the same day that The Nostalgia Critic posted his, and Phelous shared a Patreon-exclusive video (made public about two weeks later) with his thoughts on the special.
- Sacred Cow: In 2010, Peter reviewed a 1979 airing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, complete with commercials from the era. The article begins with Peter insisting that the special should be the last thing to ever be reviewed on the subsite, being one of the most beloved Christmas specials ever - true to form, he proceeds to spend more time detailing both the aforementioned ads and the edits CBS made at the time than critiquing the special itself.* He also dishes a list of eight long running and/or Cult Classic Christmas specials he refuses to riff in detail. Besides Rudolph, they are:
- A Charlie Brown Christmas (He reviewed It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown instead.)
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
- Frosty the Snowman (instead, he reviewed two sequels: Frosty's Winter Wonderland and Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July)
- Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town
- The Year Without a Santa Claus (he reviewed its sequel, A Miser Brothers' Christmas, instead.)
- A Garfield Christmas (because too many people like it for him to consider it one)
- Olive, the Other Reindeer (because he flat-out refuses to call it one)
