- Narm Charm: While this is the second episode in a row Barry overcomes a villain by talking, the excellent acting makes it work. Also, the climax adds much more complexity to Kadabra, rather than just the "hammy villain from the future" he was so far.
- Special Effect Failure: The CGI for the creature that attacked Barry and Phillipe was...subpar compared to the likes of King Shark and Grodd.
