- Accidental Innuendo: "Hot Sticky scene, you know what I mean."
- Made funnier as it could be interpreted as "Get your mind out of the gutter" or "you know exactly what I'm talking about."
- Awesome Music: It's a safe bet to say The Cult make some truly epic music, no questions asked. Of particular note:
- Dark Energy. Just listen to that intro and try and tell me you don't feel pumped.
- If is a powerful song that is almost infectious in its high spirits.
- Intro fatigue aside, Wild Hearted Son is the kind of song you play when "Eye of the Tiger" just isn't cutting it anymore.
- Signature Song: "She Sells Sanctuary" by far. Chances are, even if you've never heard of The Cult, you've probably heard the intro riff.
- To a lesser extent, "Love Removal Machine" is another one of their more iconic songs and was one of the songs that put them on the map.
- Vindicated by History: Ceremony was seen as a step down compared to Sonic Temple and Electric when it first came out. Lately, it's been seen in a more favourable light, thanks to some truly epic songs on it.
