  • On the Hot 100 and on Modern Rock, "Sanctuary" did not chart (as the latter chart did not exist at the time), so "Fire Woman" was the bigger hit. on Mainstream Rock, "Rise" peaked at #3 in 2001.
  • In their native UK, "Sanctuary" peaked at #15, four slots behind "Lil' Devil".
• Similarly Named Band: Not to be confused with the Blue Öyster Cult, whose largely American fanbase often abbreviates to "The Cult."
