• Harsher in Hindsight: "Stress Test" has Bobby in genuine danger of not graduating high school. Despite Bobby earning his happy ending and actually passing his BAT test, later episodes would still have him work at the mercado instead of attending business school, making this episode seem pointless.
• The Woobie: In "Stress Test," Bobby's stupid aspects are somewhat deconstructed because he is shown to genuinely struggle with passing his Achievement Test of Destiny. After failing the test four times, even with the help of Carlos, Rosa, and Carlota, he collapses onto the floor sobbing in front of his family, and he briefly crosses the Despair Event Horizon, complete with the sight of Bobby with tears streaming down his face.
