YMMV / The Beautiful People

Go To

  • Audience-Alienating Era: The mid 2010 period is the stable's least popular phase due to them getting most of the air-time. This was also when Madison Rayne's stint as the TNA career killer was in full-swing, which is divisive on many levels.
  • Best Known for the Fanservice: Some people tend to forget that The Beautiful People have all held the Knockouts Championships (yes even Lacey technically). The Fanservice and sexy ring entrance is the first thing that comes to mind.
  • Broken Base: The stable continues to be divisive to this day. Some people despise TBP for taking up all their air-time and hogging all the titles, while also feeling that they got pushed because of their Fanservice element. Others enjoyed the stable and felt they were entertaining. Velvet commented on how surprised she was that she and Angelina would still get booked together on indie shows long after they'd split on TV.
  • Creator's Pet: Starting in 2009, nine out of ten times that the Knockouts were on-screen, The Beautiful People would be involved somehow despite fan apathy and backlash and the group is often blamed for kickstarting the Audience-Alienating Era of the Knockouts Division.
  • Fashion-Victim Villain: From diamond encrusted hot pants to what can be described as two bras with a skirt around the waist, they were pretty brave in this regard.
  • Suspiciously Similar Song: Their theme reminds Impact Viewers of "Drag You Down" by Finger Eleven.
  • The Scrappy: Lacey Von Erich is the only one of the Beautiful People who doesn't have a large set of defenders - mostly due to her poor wrestling ability. While she was mostly used in a manager capacity, she was counted as a Tag Team Champion through the Freebird Rulenote  and it became painfully obvious that she couldn't go in the ring like the others.
