• Alternative Character Interpretation: Was Mr. Mustela a corrupt or fake lawyer and fully in on Cyrus's plan or was he a real lawyer just doing his job and genuinely believed Cyrus's claims?
• Cliché Storm: One of the biggest criticisms against the movie is that it's basically just a string of family road trip movie cliches staring the Addams family.
• Fridge Horror: The babies possibly being replaced by each other can give horrifying implications.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • When Wednesday leaves her family under the belief that she isn’t their daughter, Lurch follows after her. Instead of forcing him to go back, Wednesday lets him travel with her. Made even sweeter when it’s revealed that Cyrus’s bodyguard let Lurch know that Wednesday was in danger, meaning that Lurch went with her to keep her safe from Cyrus.
  • Lurch and Bongo embracing each other instead of fighting. It turns out they’re old cell mates and Bongo, knowing what Cyrus was doing, informed Lurch in a mere glance that Wednesday was in danger. Not to mention both men teaming up to take on Cyrus.
  • After spending the whole movie being physically distant with her father, Wednesday finally hugs her dad in the end.
• Like You Would Really Do It: Most saw the revelation that Wednesday wasn't adopted a mile away.
• Sequelitis: While the 2019 film was no critical darling, this film managed to get an even weaker critical reception, with only a 27% "Rotten" Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.
  Rotten Tomatoes' critics consensus: Altogether ooky, and not in a good way.
• So Okay, It's Average: The general opinion on the movie, it improves a bit on the first but only a little and the plot still feel like an incoherent mishmash of ideas thrown together for a film. It's an okay watch but, like the first movie, nothing to write home about either.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Whenever Gomez and Morticia were devastated and saddened after Wednesday reveals that the DNA test (which would later be revealed to be fake) concluded that she was biologically Cyrus Strange’s daughter and not an Addams, and especially when the couple looks at the pictures and sculpture with Wednesday and Cyrus together, sadly believing that they lost their "baby girl". Emotionally hurts more during this part when Wednesday referred to her mother as 'Morticia' instead of 'Mother', to the point of hurting Morticia’s feelings.
  • Wednesday’s reconciliation with her family near the end. When Wednesday apologized and admitted that she wanted to feel different, her parents finally understood her as she thanked her mother Morticia and hugged her father Gomez.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The Addamses going on a cross-country road trip is a concept bursting with hilarious possibilities. And odds are the ones the average fan came up with the second they heard the concept are better than most of what's actually in the movie. Hell, the name “Addams Family Vacation” was ripe for the taking!
