  • Awesome Music: "Brand New History" by Moonrunner83, the song that plays over the "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue. The lyrics really capture the feeling that Adora and friends are heading for a bright future:
This just might be the beginning of...
    A brand new history!
(Where the ending is a happy one)
I've seen it on the movie screens!
(And in those novels that you read)
Well, it could be you and me!
    'Cause, darling, what's stopping us
    From loving one another?
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Bob the sea serpent.
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • In Episode 6, Glimmer admits her feelings for Bow in her characteristically foul-mouthed way:
Glimmer: Fine! Yes! So I do think you are the greatest man ever to walk this planet and you make me feel so much better about myself when I see you! And you give me a warm feeling inside that's so nice, I don't even want to make a dirty joke about it! Okay, cockknobber?!
    • In Season 4 Episode 1, Angella's recorded message to Glimmer:
Angella: If you look up your name in the dictionary, it will say that to glimmer is to shine faintly. That a faint light in the distance glimmers. But that same light would be the brightest thing in a world of darkness. People would flock to it and let that light guide them. You may think that you flicker faintly, but, my darling, your light is brighter than you could ever imagine. You are Queen of Bright Moon now. You are the light that guides your people. Let it glimmer.
    • Soon after, Glimmer's coronation speech:
Glimmer: I spent a lot of today feeling like everyone had forgotten my mother already. People were afraid to say her name or even think about her. And it seemed like she had gone forever. I wasn't ready to forget her. But remembering someone is more than just puttting a portrait on a wall, or saying their name. It's about carrying on all the good they did, it's about living in a way you know makes them proud. And my Mom would be proud of us all today, in the way that we support our friends when they need it. In the way that we put aside petty differences and do what needs to be done, even if it hurts. In the way that we work together and combine our strengths to make something more than the sum of its parts. And she'd also be proud that I didn't say the word 'cunt' in my speech. ...shit.
  • Tear Jerker: Despite being primarily a comedy, the blog still has some genuinely harrowing moments. In Alice's own words: "Look, if I can’t make a joke about it, I’m gonna make it more painful. There’s no in-between."
    • Like in the original show, Episode 11 is a low point for Adora and Catra's relationship. This version has an Adaptational Context Change which arguably makes it more heartbreaking: rather than returning the sword because she didn't want Adora to come home, Catra did it because she wanted to see if Adora would choose the sword over her.
    • Catra's slow but sure mental breakdown throughout Season 3, culminating in that fateful confrontation with Entrapta.
      • Just like in canon, Catra is horrified by what she just did and frantically orders Entrapta taken out of her sight. When Scorpia tries to reason with her by saying this isn't her, Catra bitterly responds that she's "exactly what they made [her]".
    • A Running Gag throughout the early parts of the series was that Scorpia thought that her family, which is all but stated to have been massacred by the Horde, are just "on holiday". However, Scorpia eventually admits to Emily that she always knew the truth about her family, but acted otherwise because she genuinely doesn't know how to deal with the fact that her family is never coming back.
    • On Bitch Island, Entrapta is revealed to feel personally betrayed by Alice due to how she intentionally hid what would happen to her at the end of season 3. This leads to her and Alice having a heart to heart near the end of season 4, with Entrapta struggling to understand why Alice would knowingly let her endure something so traumatic and Alice trying to explain why it had to happen for the sake of the story. While Entrapta ultimately forgives her, this is the most vulnerable she's shown to be in the entire series.
    • During Catra and Glimmer's captivity by Horde Prime, we get a scene that never occurred in canon: Catra apologizing for Angella's death. After bantering with Catra a bit, Glimmer begins reminiscing about how much of "a pain in the ass" her mom was since she would always naysay and criticize Glimmer's rash actions, only to admit that she only did it because she loved and cared about Glimmer so much and that she would do anything for a chance to tell Angella that she loved her back. This prompts Catra to begin to apologize, only for Glimmer to cut her off. Glimmer says that she has to hold onto the belief that Angella's Heroic Sacrifice was made entirely of her own free will and not think about what Catra did to push the situation to that point, because otherwise Glimmer would never be able to see past how much she hates Catra, firmly stating that she does not want Catra's apology. It's an incredibly vulnerable but powerful moment for both characters where Glimmer acknowledges that Catra's guilt and desire to atone is genuine, but affirms that part of her will always hate Catra for what she did and that any apology would be inadequate in the face of that while displaying remarkable restraint for such a temperamental character towards someone she has every right to utterly loathe, with Catra quietly accepting and respecting Glimmer's choice. Many readers declared it to be a moment that deserved to be in canon and fixed one of the biggest parts of Catra's somewhat Easily Forgiven status in S5 canon.
    • When Catra is sending Glimmer through the teleporter, she speaks to Adora over the communicator, insisting that Adora not come to her rescue. Catra fully admits that she thinks she's a broken person who can only hurt others in the long run and that she fully expects to be killed by Prime, but that Adora deserves better friends than her, apologizing that no matter how hard she tried or wanted she could never be the person Adora deserved. All while a confused and frantic Adora denies Catra's self-putdowns and pleads for her safety. Even Glimmer is clearly shocked and calls out for Catra to wait before being sent to through the teleporter.
    • The final battle between Glimmer and Chipped!Micah. Unlike in the original show, where he made generic taunts and gloating, here Micah darkly lambasts his own daughter, calling her an "utter disappointment" for her constant profanity, Hair-Trigger Temper and love of violence. Glimmer tearfull begs him to stop, showing how scared she is, but this just makes Micah taunt her even more.
