  • Awesome Art: Like with the source material, the game's sprite work and animation are really well done, with it both successfully emulating Pizza Tower's artstyle and managing to capture its own vibe.
  • Awesome Music: Hot damn!
  • Common Knowledge: Gumbob is commonly thought to be, or have once been considered a boss due to him being the game's Vigilante equivalent. However, he was actually originally supposed to be a playable character, like The Vigilante was earlier in Pizza Tower's development. This was scrapped, and Gumbob's current role in the game is unknown.
  • Funny Moments:
    • One of Pizzelle's main attacks is to fling herself forward, tumbling around, potentially hitting enemies in her way.
    • The demo has a voice (presumably Pizzelle) announce and slightly comment on your combo when you achieve one. If you get a bad combo, it'll say "Ugh, bad!" and if you get the highest combo, it'll shout a bombastic "WHAT THE FUCK?!!".
    • The original D-rank theme, heard in the demo, has a high-pitched voice say "You failed", followed by a bunch of stock "Boo!" sound effects as the music slows down.
    • The chocolate Confecti usually has a chill demeanor, but once Sugar Rush starts, he suddenly gains Wide Eyes and Shrunken Irises, starts dressing in baseball gear and slams the floor repeatedly with his bat when idle.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Sugar Rush houses plenty of Nightmare Fuel, to say the least. So much, in fact, to fill up a whole car!
    • The escape theme, Glucose Getaway, is extremely frantic and anxiety-inducing, and at several points samples the various creepy sound effects from Earthbound 1994's final boss theme.
    • During a Sugar Rush, the HUD tv will occasionally show disturbing images such as a really angry Gummy harry with Glowing Eyes of Doom and Scary Teeth, black static with a Melon Bread-esque face that consists of two eyes and a set of grinning teeth, a blobby Eldritch Abomination with Extra Eyes and a black-colored eye constantly attempting to blink.
    • Also, each level has their backgrounds change during the escape. And dear god, these are where the nightmare fuel really shines! Whether it be the buildings in Crunchy Construction becoming goopy monsters, the clock faces in Cottontown, or the golden Coneboy statue hiding behind its podium with a Nightmare Face in Sugarshack Mines, each escape background has something that will make you sleep with an eye open at night.
  • Recurring Fanon Character: Pizzelle, and to a lesser extent, all the characters in the game are this among Pizza Tower fans. They're often featured in memes and fan content, with Pizzelle notably making a guest appearance in several mods for the game, such as the popular Scoutdigo mod.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Because her visual appearance is basically the Noise but with Peppino's outfit (complete with still having a moustache), Pizzelle is often mistaken for a male.
