- The Un-Twist: If Generalissimo Mendez's smile and soothing voice didn't give it away, he's the one who shot down Stern's C-130 over the jungle, so that he could avoid paying the reward money. The plane wasn't even carrying any money, since he had just sent Stern back empty-handed. If this reveal shocked you, you probably weren't paying attention to begin with.
