YMMV / Strange Hill High

Go To

  • Crazy Is Cool: Templeton may be completely off his rocker most of the time, but dear god can he save the day when he puts his mind to something. One of his science projects even manages to create the universe thanks to a Stable Time Loop.
  • Funny Moments: In "Big Mouth Strikes Again", the Tooth Fairy says that he is going to sing an "evil song", and ironically, his song is a happy, innocent little baby song. And his sentient "Smylophone" starts singing along with him. And the Tooth Fairy does not even notice.
    • Postman Pat's appearance in "A Strange Hill Christmas".
  • Pop-Culture Isolation: If you're British, guaranteed you know what this is in the first place. If you're not, well, good luck finding anyone who's even heard of it in your region.
  • So Short, It Rocks: 26 episodes, 22 or so minutes each, without the addition of The Movie to explain things that are Left Hanging, and all of them pretty much explain everything about the series and its lore with great detail.
  • Tear Jerker: In "Big Mouth Strikes Again", when Becky is force-fed candies off screen by the tooth fairy and is left toothless, it's pretty hard not to want to give her a hug. The music does not help matters.
Becky: I'm sorry, I tried to resist.
    Mitchell: But you hate sweets.
Becky: No! I love them. I've always loved them!
Mitchell: But you said your sister—-
Becky: I haven't got a sister!!! I was talking about myself! I'm a chocoholic, a junk food junkie! (Inelegant Blubbering) I! NEED! NOUGAT!!!!
  • Toy Ship:
    • Some fans ship Mitchell and Becky. Though it is extremely close to the border considering that Mitchell is confirmed to be 12 years old and Becky would be around his age, considering they are in the same class, making them almost teenagers.
    • Few people ship Mitchell and Templeton or Templeton and Peter.
