Designated Monkey: Squidward is constantly tormented by Patrick throughout the episode to get his ink. Considering the Character Rerailment for both of them in the recent seasons, this brief sudden relapse is very jarring.
Fanon Discontinuity: Often regarded as the worst episode since "SpongeBob You're Fired" due to including elements from the worst seasons such as Patrick's jerkiness and Squidward torture.

Sure he made fun of Patrick's lemonade stand and even threw a piece of lemon at his eye but despite that he didn't deserve to get tortured to death by him considering that was too much even for him. Add to the fact that the episode ends with him consuming a cookie that contained spider eggs makes his Butt-Monkey portrayal in this episode even more harsh and torturous to watch.
Take That, Scrappy!: Patrick gets a lemon slice thrown into his eye at the beginning of the episode and both him and Spongebob get blown away by Squidward when the latter finds out that his ink is the reason why everyone's interested in drinking Patrick's lemonade.
