• Alternate Character Interpretation:
  • Ashur revealing that Crixus and Naevia had slept together. To be charitable to him, perhaps he didn't think it would affect Naevia as badly. In fact, given her status as Lucretia's body slave and the value her virginity was meant to have, maybe he only thought Crixus would be punished. It all depends on whether he knew about his affair with Lucretia. Quintus knew sure, but it's possible Ashur didn't. Of course, he might simply have not cared what happened to Naevia, as long as he hurt Crixus.
  • Lucretia in the final scene. Is she saddened by being told that she has to stop sleeping with Crixus? Or is she ashamed of the fact that Quintus knew all along and she realises how she's hurt her husband?
• Fans Prefer the New Her: Solonius has to face his execution in disgrace, with messy hair and wearing only a loincloth. Due to his surprisingly great physique, this look is quite popular.
• Like You Would Really Do It: Given that there's only one episode to go until the finale, and that it's extremely early in the run time, there's a lack of tension in Spartacus's first attempt on Batiatus's life. There's also the fact that the real life Spartacus famously led the entirety of the house to rebel, so a savvy viewer will guess that an action show is not going to skip out on that part of the history.
