YMMV / South Park S 2 E 10 Chickenpox

• Hilarious in Hindsight: Kyle and Cartman hope Kenny has a Nintendo at his house. The current console at the time was the Nintendo 64, and South Park had a video game come out 4 months after the episode aired.
• Squick:
  • "Ooky Mouth", a game Sheila coins when she wants Kyle to catch the chickenpox from Kenny. Two players take turns spitting into each other's mouths and saying "Ooky Mouth" while swallowing the saliva.
  • Frieda spreading the Herpes virus throughout the boys' houses. She rubs eating utensils against her armpits and puts her mouth over their toothbrushes, makeup and telephones.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Liane warns Cartman too much calamine lotion can be dangerous, yet he's never shown experiencing side effects even after he bathes in it.
• Values Resonance: The boys' mothers intentionally try to get their kids to catch the chicken pox. The mothers are shown to be in the wrong, especially with the "pox party" trend similarly looked down upon in real life.
