YMMV / Slimecicle Cinematic Universe

Go To

  • Demonic Spiders: Lampshaded in a couple of videos:
    • In "Minecraft, but it's way more traumatizing", Slimecicle pauses the video at one point to discuss the addition of health for different body parts and how this makes Skeletons way deadlier, as they're programmed to always land a headshot for a One-Hit Kill.
    • "The HARDEST Minecraft Difficulty" turns Chickens and Polar Bears into these. The latter constantly follows the player in groups of three, attacking them any time they move, while the former has not only been made hostile, but is way tankier and rapidly multiplies when hit. Both of these end up getting removed partway through the video due to how much of a nuisance they ended up being.
  • Epileptic Trees: As of this writing, "Minecraft, but every 5 minutes there's a natural disaster", "The HARDEST Minecraft difficulty", and "We Spent 100 Days in a Hardcore Minecraft Apocalypse" are the only videos officially recognized as canon to the Slimecicle Cinematic Universe, but fans have been theorizing that every Minecraft video that Charlie's put out (and even a few videos by other channels, like TommyInnit's "100 Minecraft YouTubers VS Natural Disasters!" video) is connected to it somehow.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: A number of comments on "The HARDEST Minecraft Difficulty" compared the video's story to the Dream SMP, with some even joking that this was Charlie's audition tape for it. A little over a month after the video was posted, Charlie joined the server, ultimately becoming involved in Quackity's Las Nevadas storyline.
  • Moment of Awesome: All of "Minecraft, but 100 players are hunting me". ALL OF IT.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Jschlatt makes for a surprisingly threatening Big Bad in "Minecraft, but every 5 minutes there's a natural disaster", constantly looming over the other players and killing them indiscriminately when they disrespect him in some way, usually through the aforementioned disasters. While his intimidation factor is mostly watered down by the comedic nature of the video, he gets a chance to show off his power at the ending after he's been (supposedly) defeated at the top of the volcano he summoned. Backed by a healthy dose of Ominous Latin Chanting, Jschlatt reemerges from the smoke created by the lava, hardly visible through the dead of night, and begins to attack Slime directly while speaking in what the video calls "unholy noises". Even while being defeated a second time through Slime's silly exorcism chant, the scream he lets out upon this defeat can only be described as abominable.
  • The Woobie: Wimpfred (played by Wilbur Soot and named as "The Last Bachelor" in the video description) from "We Spent 100 Days in a Hardcore Minecraft Apocalypse" was a nice and polite Reality TV Show contestant who was inadvertently left behind in the Bachelor house for 263 days (500 or 600 according to him) and is later broken out by Charlie. Driven mad by the isolation and desperately looking for a reward after his hardships, he fools himself into thinking the zombie apocalypse is "part of the script" and later starts looking for "Cindy" with Charlie. Upon meeting Wilford, an eliminated and insane contestant who's out for his blood, he is challenged to a duel for Cindy's love that ends with both his legs broken. When Charlie tells him the truth that the Zombie Apocalypse is very real, that his legs won't be fixed and that Cindy is most likely long dead, Wimpfred dies from suicide by blowing himself up with a rocket launcher while Charlie screams in horror.
