• Ensemble Dark Horse: Ally, for the same reasons that people love Judy from the first film and two other big ones.
• Les Yay: It's rather obvious that Angela likes Molly, though Molly is crushing on Sean.
• Narm Charm: Angela takes on a more comedic role and for some fans, it's an absolute treat.
  • When shoving Ally into the outhouse, she screams "GET IN THE TOILET!" in total seriousness.
• So Bad, It's Good: While some fans don't prefer the tongue-in-cheek direction the next two films go, others find it to be an enjoyably bad flick where terrible people get what's coming to them.
• Special Effect Failure: When Angela beheads Sean. She decapitates what's clearly a dummy in a brief shot.
• Values Dissonance: Angela fully transitioning to a woman continues and heightens the unfortunate implications from the first film, which stands out more as trans visibility has increased. It's a weird message to send that Angela ends up embracing the identity she was traumatically forced to adopt and doesn't well represent actual trans people's experiences of discovering their identity. Furthermore, Angela is portrayed as more unhinged and less justifiable or sympathetic in her killings, pushing her portrayal further into the tradition of trans or crossdressing people (often equated in pop culture to undermine the former) being portrayed as dangerous and unstable.
