Trivia / Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers

• Blooper: TC's acid melted body can be seen posed right next to Anthony's during the reveal of all the corpses in the abandoned cabin before his actual death happens minutes later.
• Casting Gag: Could be seen this way, as Martin Sheen's daughter, Renee Estevez, plays Molly. There are characters named after her brothers (peeping-tom prepubescents Charlie and Emilio), and everyone else in the cast, except Angela and the unnamed survivor who got sent home early, is named after Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez's fellow Brat Pack mainstays. (And 1980s teen film director John Hughes, might we add.)
• Negative Continuity: In one scene, a camper named Ralph (as in Macchio) is said to be in the woods with the Shote Sisters. Not long after, Angela refers to him as Matt (as in Dillon).
• The Other Darrin: Angela, the only character who returns from the original, is now Pamela Springsteen (Bruce's sister).
  • Actually a double example- the famous promotional image (used on the home releases) with Angela carrying a backpack with a hockey mask and clawed glove in it, is not Pamela Springsteen, but model Connie Craig; Pamela was not available for the photoshoot.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Robert Hiltzik, director of the original Sleepaway Camp, had plans to return for a sequel he scripted that was intended to be darker and more violent, but producers wanted a more comedic direction for the series.
  • Felissa Rose was asked to reprise her role as Angela, but she was busy attending college at the time.
    • Tracy Griffith (who played Marcia in Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland) auditioned for Angela at one point.
  • Originally Molly would have died when she fell off the cliff, impaling herself on a fence post. This was changed in favor of a more open ended finale and was never filmed. The scene would be recreated for a special feature on Shout Factory's Blu-ray release in 2015.
