  • Awesome Music: The use of Bishop Briggs's "White Flag" during the final battle.
  • Complete Monster: Rovach Alimov is the cruel dictator of Turgistan. Ruling the country with an iron fist by keeping his people in poverty and murdering others, Alimov gasses an entire city during a medical event in order to keep his people afraid and in line. After his four generals are killed by the Ghosts, Alimov shoves four of his soldiers off the tallest building in Turgistan out of paranoia. Once a rebellion breaks out thanks to his brother Murat, Alimov leaves his men to die as he escapes, even ordering his chauffeur to run down innocent protesters in the way. Knowing that his time as president has come, Alimov orders his men to gas Turgistan, specifically hospitals and schools, just to leave Murat with a ruined country to rule over.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Four, by a long shot, to the point where he features in about 85% of fanfiction, and is a Launcher of a Thousand Ships.
  • Epileptic Trees: Given that Ryan Reynolds is in this movie, several Deadpool fans believed that his involvement to the film's production is just a setup for him potentially taking a (hard) jab on Michael Bay's notoriety among many critics and film buffs.
  • Fight Scene Failure: The editing, which not only makes the movie occasionally jump forwards or backwards in time, but also results in a lot of incoherent shots during action sequences.
  • Funny Moments: When the Ghosts rescue Murat, they explode the windows with sound waves, specifically using a super-loud version of the THX Deep Note.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • In "How Deadpool Should Have Ended", Deadpool compares Negasonic and Colossus to Michael Bay for giving a cliched explosion on Deadpool's battle. Guess whose actor is finally involved in a Bay-directed movie?
    • The final battle takes place on the Big Bad's private yacht. In The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, which also has Ryan Reynolds, the final battle in that movie also takes place on the villain's yacht.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: Let me guess: you saw this movie either for Ryan Reynolds or for Michael Bay's trademark explosions?
  • Magnificent Bastard: "One" is the codename of a philanthropist who witnessed the massacre of a civilian hospital by Turgistan's President Rovach Alimov. He fakes his death and recruits five specialists to form a vigilante squad known as "The Ghosts" to take down oppressive regimes, with the caveat that they'll be left to die if their mission is in jeopardy. Masterminding a scheme to overthrow President Alimov and replace him with his more sympathetic brother Murat, One recruits a sniper to replace one of their lost crewmembers before luring Alimov's generals to Las Vegas, using hookers to distract them before the team kills them. After freeing Murat from armed guard in Hong Kong and deciding to make the team more cohesive after an argument, One hacks Turgistan's network so Murat can inspire a revolt, then flushes Alimov out with a series of bombs. When the team pursues Alimov to a yacht, One uses a device to turn the entire ship into a giant magnet, killing many of Alimov's men before capturing Alimov and dumping him into the same refugee camp that was massacred, allowing the refugees to beat Alimov to death for his crimes.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The dictator or his brother aren't fleshed out that well so it's kinda hard to feel for either of them as one is a generic villain, while the brother isn't given any depth apart from the fact that he's afraid of him.
