• Crosses the Line Twice: And thrice. And twice again after that. Hilariously so.
• Inferred Holocaust: Subverted: This time when the Death Star gets destroyed, it does destroy the nearby planet.

• Just Here for Godzilla: Some people only watched for Nabeshin. Too bad he got killed off in the first episode. But it's ok, he got better.
• One-Scene Wonder: Nabeshin and Kumi-Kumi for many were the most interesting characters in the show, despite both getting killed in the first episode. And luckily, thanks to Kumi-Kumi's badass acupuncture skills and Rule of Funny, they didn't stay dead
• Retroactive Recognition: Yumiko Kobayashi is better known nowadays for her roles as Shobu Kirifuda...at least until he grew up, his younger brother Katta Kirifuda and his nephew Joe Kirifuda in Duel Masters. Poemi was one of her earlier roles.
• Squick: The scene with Poemi and Futaba talking at night in bed, with their heads moving around in impossible ways with the sounds of bones breaking is both hilarious and cringe-inducing.
• This Is Your Premise on Drugs: This is Excel♡Saga on Excel Saga.
