- Acting for Two:
- In the Japanese version, Satomi Koorogi voices Hitomi Aasu, in addition to reprising her role as Kumi Kumi from Excel♡Saga.
- In the dub's case, Tiffany Grant voices the Mage Queen in addition to reprising Kumi Kumi.
- Banned in China: The OVA was banned in New Zealand because it was classified as "objectionable material" on the grounds that it depicted sexual exploitation of minors. It didn't help that there was a three-year-old among the Fanservice-crazy Aasu sisters (though thankfully, not actually participating). However, in 2021 the ban was reversed with the show reclassified as R16.
- Defictionalization: The initial concept started as an in-joke among the production staff of Excel♡Saga, went on to became a Show Within a Show, and then finally an actual OVA.
- DVD Commentary: The ADV Films release came with one, touted as the "world's first 5.1 surround sound commentary". There was also a behind-the-scenes video recording the madness, with the voice actors in multiple booths and often talking over each other.
- Mutually Fictional: Exists as a show within the Excel♡Saga universe, and Excel Saga is a show in the Puni Puni Poemi universe — a math problem in school involves the number of cels used in each episode of Excel Saga.
