  • Ensemble Dark Horse: medibot, The People's Hero.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Late in the Shadow levels of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), the group prepares to read off the next challenge for their competition. medibot chimes in with "Your challenge is to describe the perfect sandwich." In their next LP, Sonic Unleashed, Pickle describes what he considers the perfect sandwich, and Eggman enjoys a sub that is rendered with much more detail than most objects in the game.
    • One riff had the gang joke that Sonic's last name is "the Hedgehog". In Sonic Boom, it's implied Sonic's full name really is "Sonic the Hedgehog", with "the" being his middle name.
  • Padding: When the game does it, they do it right back. Examples include Kaz reading Hercule Poirot, pokecapn asking around about people's fetishes, Kung Fu Jesus reciting song lyrics, and medibot asking "What portion of American history is this a metaphor for?" When they get really desperate for content (like in Sonic 2006 several times), they start reading off various reviews of the game they're playing as their last resort.
  • Schedule Slip: The last let's play the posse made together was the Four Swords Adventure LP in summer 2012 (August if you count KFJ's LP of Final Fantasy XIII-2 on his channel), with the only videos posted on the Pokecapn youtube channel being a single video of Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. A project was teased for July 2013, but nothing came of it. An aborted LP of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is on KFJ's youtube, as well.
    • The group has instead begun streaming games in pairs, small groups, or by themselves, ranging from co-op brawlers to a full-length playthrough of Asura's Wrath.
    • Partially averted with the most recent completed playthrough being a Shovel Knight playthrough with medibot around Summer/Fall 2015.
    • Sadly Shovel Knight seems to be the last project the group will work on, as of Summer 2020.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • The moment when pokecapn simply gives up near the end of the Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) playthrough. It's made even more of a gut-punch in how he doesn't even sound angry any more after dying well over a hundred times at this point; just resigned and utterly defeated.
pokecapn: (as he falls into a quicksand pit and loses his last life again with Silver) I'm done. I'm done. I can't play a game this fundamentally broken. This is completely done.
    • Later in the same playthrough, pokecapn considers admitting defeat and ending their run entirely if they can't complete End Of The World in a certain number of tries. Without the slightest hesitation, everyone else in the team simultaneously yells out "NO!" and urge him and themselves to carry on. It doubles as heartwarming, in that it shows just how close-knit and determined they've become to win despite the sleep deprivation and despair from constantly being screwed over by the infamous game.
